Press Release 14 July 2004
LOW PAY COMMISSION’S VISIT TO KENT
Two Low Pay Commissioners will visit Kent
on a fact-finding visit about the National Minimum Wage on Thursday
15 July. Willy Brown and David Metcalf will visit an advice centre
and an organisation that provides a range of work and training opportunities
for people with disabilities to discuss issues relating to the national
minimum wage.
Low Pay Commissioner Willy Brown said: “We want to hear the views
of all groups with an interest in the minimum wage. Listening to those
directly affected by the minimum wage is a crucial part of the Commission’s
work in making recommendations to the Government. ‘’
